Lorviqua is an anticancer medication known as antineoplastic. It stops cancer cells from growing and causes the body to remove them.

Antineoplastic drugs like Lorviqua are used to treat cancer. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells, which in turn prompts the body to eliminate the cells.
Lorlatinib is the active component that can be found in Lorviqua. A very uncommon form of lung cancer known as anaplastic lymphoma kinase lung cancer can be treated with Lorviqua. This kind of lung cancer is caused by errors in a gene known as anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK).
If you or anyone in your family has ever had an allergic reaction to Lorviqua or any of the other substances listed at the conclusion of the CMI, you should not use this product.
Talk to your healthcare provider if you are currently taking any other medications or considering beginning any new ones, since Lorviqua may interact with certain medications. Talk to your primary care physician if you suffer from any other health concerns, if you are pregnant, if you are planning to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. It is not safe to administer this medication to a child.
How do I use Lorviqua?
One dose of Lorviqua is to be taken orally (via the mouth) on a daily basis. It is recommended that you take the pill as directed, which means that you should swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it, and you should take it at about the same time every day. Before you begin therapy, your physician will recommend an appropriate dosage of Lorviqua for you to take.
Are there any potential adverse reactions?
It is possible for Lorviqua to cause serious adverse effects, such as problems with the liver as a result of interactions with other medications; neurological issues, such as shifts in mood, speech, or sleep; seizures; hallucinations; or confusion; increases in the levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, or sugar in your blood; heart problems, particularly irregular heartbeats; severe swelling (inflammation) of the lungs.
